![]() When using I1Profiler to make CGATs files from a spectro one does not need a license. The license is only needed for making profiles from the scanned data and Argyll does a fine job if one is comfortable with command line tools. Argyll does not have a driver for iSis but I1Profiler does and can create CGATs files that Argyll can process. Very good software and far, far better documented than I1Profiler though it doesn't have a polished GUI. Better, the Profilemaker 5 dongle works with I1Profiler too which I use with a iSis 2 XL which would otherwise not be licensed.īut basiccolor catch/drop could be perfectly suited for my needs. Profilemaker5 is too old, I don't even think it's still working with my current computer. The one I found is an ES-1000 with fiery color suite software in bundle (old version 3). Your best bet is to maybe buy a used ColorMunki Photo, this will work with the Xrite's latest FREE app. You need to contact Xrite to make sure that the ES-1000 will work with their lasted app. I believe that X-rite's latest software will work but cost $500+. If you buy the ES-1000 you can use Xrite's free ColorPort 2.0 software to generate printer ICC profile scanning targets and scan/read the data, but you will need to use ArgyllCMS or an app like ProfileMaker to convert the data into printer ICC profiles. The free ArgyllCMS program will work but you need to know how to use command line structure, and is not for everyone. Now I have an ES-1000, if you can find a licensed copy of the old ProfileMaker 5.0 it will work to make ICC profiles, but it is sort of complex to use. ![]() Most of the I1PRO's were bought with only basic display calibration activated. Thus it had to be purchased for Printer ICC profile generation, otherwise it won't work with the supplied Xrite software at that time. I1PRO's, including the EFI ES-1000, are configured internally at time of initial purchase for what it can do. If you have any suggestions how to use it, please let me know, ![]() Will I be able to use maybe basiccolor softwares (with a basiccolor licence ?). Will I be able to use the spectrophotometer with other software solutions ? Like x-rite software ? (which will work for free ?) I'm looking for buying a Spectrophotometre EFI Es-1000 FIERY, ![]()
